The ACCC has a future requirement to establish a new Competition and Consumer Law Panel.
Services under the Competition and Consumer Law Panel will generally relate to the application of competition and consumer law including, but not limited to, provisions under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law, and national energy and water laws and rules.
Indicatively, the ACCC average expenditure for professional fees related to Competion and Consumer Law (excluding disbursements and counsel fees) over the preceeding three years was approximately $15m per annum.
