The Department of Fire & Emergency Services (DFES) provide a service in respect of the provision of fire risk management on Unallocated Crown Land (UCL) and Unmanaged Reserves (UMR) which includes analysing and assessing fire risk. DFES determines if there is a requirement to upgrade firebreaks, install new breaks, upgrade strategic breaks or tracks, install strategic breaks or tracks, and lower fuel levels by prescribed burning to protect life, property and the environment.
As part of this service, DFES will contract a variety of Contractors state-wide with specialist equipment to complete the mitigation works as part of a “panel” arrangement.
An existing contract DFES166116 for hire of services for mitigation works has been put into place. DFES is seeking additional providers to be added to the panel. Existing panellists need not respond.
