The Albany Waterfront Marina, is located in the heart of the Albany CBD at the Princess Royal Harbour Foreshore. It contains 70 floating boat pens for recreational use, 2 commercial charter pens, a service jetty, and a 2-lane boat ramp.

A fuel facility was not installed at the Albany Waterfront Marina during the construction phase given the uncertainty on boat pen take up and subsequent fuel demand.

Since commencement of the operational phase, the demand for diesel fuel has been established and DoT is now seeking expressions of interest from a Proponent(s) to manage a Fuel Facility under Lease. This will involve the leasing, management and operation of a diesel fuel facility located within the Albany Waterfront Marina. This arrangement will also require a Fuel Pipeline Licence under the Jetties Act 1926 for the site.

A range of State and Commonwealth environmental approvals were required for the construction and operational phases of the Albany Waterfront Marina. In relation to the operational phase, DoT has ongoing monitoring commitments for water and sediment quality and as such a high level of environmental management and compliance of the fuel facility will be required by the prospective lessee.
